PI approval: the customer saves time and money

Precise guidelines apply for the transportation of dangerous goods on the road. Since being issued in 2015, the referenced set of rules (ADR) in the EU Directive 2010/35/EU contains the harmonised standards DIN EN 1626 and DIN EN 13648 for valves. For this purpose, HEROSE had to completely re-apply and certify the EC type approval for their safety valves and fittings according to ADR/RID in accordance with TPED (π-marking). 

The preparation of a new auditing/certification for monitoring the production and in-house testing service (IS) came on top of that. This approval and monitoring was carried out according to the process for the conformity assessment and the recurring tests according to chapter 1.8.7 to 1.8.7.7 of the ADR/RID 2015.

The updated approval of the HEROSE products has now been completed. This means that next to the certification of their containers, the vessel manufacturer no longer needs to additionally certify HEROSE valves. It is sufficient to present the documents for the final acceptance. This saves time and costs at the customer.
